I dont a get deal of spam anymore but did get that german spam this morning that everyone has been talking about.. SOme 60 emails from the same person who probably got affected by the mass mailing program it carries

Hey, man, thats nothing. My mom recently had someone decide to copy her email address and use it for spamming people (not exactly sure about how that worked, or what we could do to prevent it, but someone was making it look like they were emailing LOTS of spam from her email address), and she had what was a basically limitless mail-box fill with "failed delivery" notices in little more than an hour.

She uses the address for her bussiness, and ended up missing some really important emails. I don't think I've ever seen her so mad.

Unless you dont email anyone at all its very hard to aoid spam unfortunatly.

Spoofing(mimicing) a email to send spam isnt hard but depending how clever the spammer is you can generrally find out where it originated from. Often even the spoofer doesant realize its happening bexause they have a mass mailing trojan they are not aware of and the computer has your email address using to to send out unwanted email./. It gets all very confusing to finally track down the original culprit..
Australia has made spamming illegal and prosecuted by law but cant stop it comming in from other countries

i dont know about spam i use msn with spam filter set on EXCLUSIVE lol
