I'm interested in breeding fish. However, there are several factors I'm taking into account.
I can always feed anything I can't sell to my cichlids, so overcrowding isn't an issue.
I've been told by two LFS's that they don't buy convicts because they are so common nowadays.
Would the marble blue convicts be a good combination of easy to breed yet still have a market to sell them?
I've got a Striped Rafael Catfish that cost me $13 and they've been hard to find. Would this be a decent breeding choice because they aren't common?
I have a beautiful and mellow Jack Dempsey. I was thinking he would be a good fish to breed for his color and temperment but Jacks are pretty common and cheap so maybe there's little to no market.
I'm also pretty interested in Green Terrors. They are a beautiful fish and fun to watch/interact with.
What else are fairly non-common that I might get a breeding pair and have success with?
