my tank is wicked base... like 7.6 to 7.8

how do i get it down? i have never had this problem before and kinda at a loss

I am not 100% sure what you mean by wicked base?

Are you refering to the waters ph level?

If so, stable ph is better than one that varies. If its constant, then leave it alone. Anyhow please post back on what it is you are referning too, and the type of fish you have would be helpfull as well.

yes, i am refering to the ph level. i have 3 convicts in there as we speak, and they are small. i kinda wanted to put something else in there, but i am afraid cuz the ph is so high

That pH isn't a serious problem for most fish you'd be putting in there, as long as you introduce them properly. As you're floating the bag with the new fish, every few minutes add a bit of your aquarium water to the water in the fish's bag. this helps avoid pH shock issues as they're introduced. As Fuzzy says, in most cases a stable pH is much more important than an absolute number. Just curious -- how big is your tank for those convicts, and what else are you thinking about adding?

the tank is a 29gal. i was debating adding some other south americans in there, but i kinda like the tank as is... i want them to get as big as possible unhindered
