Burundi "White Band"

I am soooo stoked to actually
have found a large Burundi a customer traded in at a LFS.

The 13 year old expert that worked there kept insisting that it was a kaiser..Of
course I didn't argue since he thought the going price would be $20!

Such a beautiful fish
and a rare find. I also find it interesting that my electric blue is protecting
him and performing "breeding dances" for him. I'll have to accept
the fact I may have a gay fish since I the petshop was in San Francisco on
Geary st. and I have a pretty open mind. This fish shows with a bright white
band.

That is excellent you got such a great deal. Sometimes LFS screw up like that and you can require a great deal. Here in TX fish tend to be quite expensive due to s/h charges they rape you with. They had 6 OB White Zebra's for $29 a piece. Knowing they would not sell at that price, I waited for awhile. To my advantage they had a sale going on, buy one get one free. So I bought the OB White and received (man I forgot the name now) He is darker blue like your Burundi, with the exception that the fins are yellow. Not that great of a deal when you use to live in Florida (fish captial) but here in TX man are they expensive. I paid 99 cents for jewel cichlid and here they are $5.99 so not that bad of deal for two cichlids sizing 5" each.
