To college with a fish tank

Postby Vaulen on Sat Jun 11, 2005 9:45 pm

I was curious if anybody here has had experience with going to college wtih the hobby of fishkeeping. I've thought ahead, and it's going to be difficult to keep a fish tank while in college, with moving, space, weight, money. Do some colleges have preferences on pets(fish)? Any tips on fishkeeping while in college would be great.

To college with a fish tank

hi vaulen....well really you only have 3 options;

1.if you are allowed to take your aquarium to college then great!....you can always come back to this forum at anytime for help.
2.let someone else look after your fish whilst you are away.but beware this normally leads to disaster!
3.take up fishkeeping again when you finish college.(sell your tank,fish etc etc.)

personally i would try for option 1.as long as you have permission from your college then you will find means and ways of transporting all the hardware.
even if it means selling your fish you have now and strippping the tank bare to make it easier for moving..

good luck

jay;)
