Tank Too Small????

Postby Indy on Wed Oct 05, 2005 6:14 am

My fish are getting pretty big and I'm concerned about the tank being too small.

Please look at my profile and let me know what you think.

Thanks! Indy

Hmmm....

I think you're OK as long as your tank is complicated -- meaning lots of caves, hiding places, etc.. but I wouldn't add anything else to the mix. However, I think I'll probably be in the minority -- others will probably suggest a larger tank. But, I think what you have is workable. --Mark:cool:

Tank Too Small????

Well I must go against the grain on this one. I have a 120 myself and I couldn't picture my tank that full. I (had) 2 10" oscars, a 9" common pleco, a 4" pictus cat, a julii cory, and a candy stripe pleco. I was doing a 30 percent water change every weekend to keep my nitrates down to 15 ppm's. My filtration was only 2 Emperior 400's so that was some of the problem with mine, but you have almost triple the amount of fish, and your tank has a smaller foot print than mine. I don't know what kind of water changes your doing but it has to be alot. IMO split up some of your fish before they get much larger. Well good luck with your decision.
