I have a 6-7in Red Devil in a 75gal tank, and it seems kind of a waste to have a decent sized tank with one fish in it. Any suggestions on what I can possibly put in there with him? Hes EXTREMELY territorial, he hits the glass anytime anyone even comes near it. Or am I stuck just decorating the tank as much as I can, and try to not get pissed when destorys everything?

I have a 5-6 inch red devil in a 100 gallon tank with a convict chiclid, a very large oscar, and a jack dempsey. The convict and oscar still get their fins nibble once in a while, but they have lasted months now. The Jack is a great match for him i think, he doesnt like getting picked on at all and will kick butt if he has to.

IMO, in a 75 gal, the only thing you'll be able to keep with that Red Devil is water and gravel.  That display against the glass is no joke.  These guys are from large lakes in Central America, and their idea of territory is pretty large.  I'm told they're fairly peaceful in a tank of 350 gallons or more, but in smaller space they don't put up with interlopers.  He's still pretty much of a kid right now, but as he matures, watch out!

at 7" or less a devil may be ok with other fish, but remember thats less then 1/4 overall adult size (total mass) and it may not be mature enough to care about demanding a territory - yet
