Siphoning question

Postby Diane on Sun Oct 24, 2004 9:36 pm

I have a 75 gallon, pic below, my husband built the cabinet and hood by the way, didn't he do a good job?

Anyway, as you can see in the picture I have a larger type rock to cover the bottom, not gravel, I like the rock. My question is what is the best siphon for suction? I have a small one and it does a pretty good job but I was hoping there was a monster siphoning tube out there that someone could recommend that will pull up anything between those rocks.

Thanks for any input.

Diane

Just go to your local lfs and they sell different kinds of siphon's. Some people have the ones that you could use to siphon and to fill up the tank with water. They are more expensive. Sorry, don't have too much info. on them. Maybe you could do some research online.

By the way, what are the blue and red things on the bottom of the tank? Are those toys for your fish or something?

DrOctagon, they are two glass bottles that I got at a dollar store for a buck each. I saw them and couldn't choose between the two so I got both. I just thought they were neat and would add some color. My electric yellow loves getting under them.

I guess my "natural habitat" looking tank looks more like the bottom of the ocean where a large vessel wrecked :hahaha:

Thanks Gman and jaypython, I was thinking of getting the python Gman, and yes the rocks are a little large, so far I am just trying to move them around to get to the junk on the bottom :)
