Selective Breeding

Postby ConvictKid on Thu Nov 07, 2002 4:06 am

OK, I was in the chat tonight, like I am most every night. This guy came in and asked me about selective breeding. I am against it, I am all for natural. I think selective is wrong, most people do it for 'better' color. All it does is cause weakend immune systems and horrible problems, like, deformed swim bladders, brains growing outside thier heads(those wierd gold fish), ect, ect, ect. Am I the only one that feels like this? This guy actually said this "wrong in my fish room im god im improving on his creation"
How messed up is that(i dont belive in god, but that is besides the point). If any selective breeding should be done, only the healthiest strongest fish should be bred together, if they are the dullest colored fish, then so be it.

Sorry, I'm just ranting, that guy pissed me off, if you would like a complete transcript of that convo. email me. He is not the brightest guy out there.
