CichlidFish.com - Fish That Think.

I've seeded my 55 gallon tank with just about everything in the 29 gallon. I've put almost all of the gravel, all of the plastic plants, 1 porous lava rock, 1 fake stump, strands of the BIO-Fiber from the 29 filter, and chunks of the 29 filter cartridge. The 29 looks really boring. Plus, aren't oscars and pacus supposed to be hardy fish? My friend I told you about in the Cichlid forum bought a 29 gallon brand new, put in brand new gravel and decoration, then put in water and his fish, and they all survived. Can I put my fish in? It's been up and running for about a week. What should I do?:confused:

i'd play it safe and test water and wait.

if your friends fish could talk, they would tell him that their gills hurt (ammonia posion), they can survive but they prolly wont live their full potential.

i hope your not puting a pacu in a 29 or 55gallon. because they get amazilingly(sp:confused: ) large and are a schooling fish.
