Anyone here ever used a Seaclone,or do ya'll know anything good/bad about them? What kind of powerheads do ya'll use for salt tanks?

If I am thinking of the right brand I have heard some bad things about it's effectiveness and that you have to tinker with it and modify it to make it work properly. I would spend a little more and get a better quality skimmer that you wont have to replace after a few months when you realize it is junk.

I use Maxi-Jet powerheads and have been happy with their performance so far. I have heard alot of bad things about Rio pumps, I my skimmer came with one and I never had any trouble with it but you might want to be on the safe side and avoid that brand

Reason I asked is the friend that gave me the tank has one, and he didn't like it. He said he didn't know if he was just not doing something right or what was going. It didn't skim well at all he said.

yeah I use themn for the price....once you get them set it is OK. I'm mucgh happier with the berlin brand but that is expensive. They can be pretty crappy though so if you have the $$$ go for better.

I haven't had any problems with powerheads other htan them sweeping one which are a pain in the ___
