they're very very easy to breed (every month), just like convicts. they should be kept in a breeding group with 1 male for every two females.

they dont protect the fry though. they eat them. when you see a female balloon up, either get a breeding trap or another tank and put the female in there. the fry come out swimming and ready to eat and fend for themselves. make sure the female doesnt eat her kids.

mollies get around 3" , swords get up to 5", and platies get around 2.5".

all of them are very hardy and can withstand fresh, brackish or even salt water.
