removing air stone

In my tank with the high ph level, there is only one air stone (12" bubble bar.) There are about 6 live plants in it also. Does anything think that removing the air stone is a bad idea to see if th ph level drops? If it will not be a problem then I will give it a shot. Thanks for all your help and suggestions.

Shouldn't be a problem long as you have some water movement at surface of water and temp isn't very high.

Agreed, So long as you have sufficient surface disruption I dont think it will be a problem. Also photosythesis does raise ph some, so you may want to try testing the water in the morning before you turn on the light and then at mid-day to see if there is a differance.
