red devil and other cichlids??

i have a rd which is about 2 inches long in a 16g aq.can i put other cichlids such as M.Auratus with him?? or can i put an angel fish???

My advice is to never mix african(M.Auratus) and south american(RD) cichlids together. For one they need different water types. Africans needing a ph of 7.4 or higher and south americans needing a ph of 7 and lower. There are also personality types. And even food types. As for the angel, you might find this a bad idea in such a small tank because your RD would probably beat on the angel. The angel is a slower swimming cichlid and wouldn't stand a chance.:eek:
