CichlidFish.com - Fish That Think.

The OSCAR Study page is probably the oldest species-specific aquaria website on the internet. It was posted at the Rio Grande Freenet in mid 1996 and moved around a bit. There are some updates I'm planning (things I've learned here at Cichlidfish, especially from Stilllearnin), especially in the Data section. I'm proud of the disease section, it has lots of specific info on diseases and treatments.

Using control messages sent out from Rio Grande Freenet, I created the newsgroup alt.aquaria.oscars in 1997 to be the "official" discussion forum for this Oscar page. As you may know, most of the rec and alt aquaria newsgroups have fallen into shreds, mostly spam and porn links, and seem very rarely used for legitimate aquaria discussion. Therefore I've changed the HTML at the site to indicate that CichlidFish dot com is The OSCAR Study Page's new official discussion area. Therefore this note, to let you all know of the site's existence. Thanks! --Mark
