Powerhead question

Postby Richard Platts on Sun Aug 08, 2004 1:52 pm

So I've got a 75 gal tank pretty well up and running. My question regards my powerheads. I'm running undgravel filtration with two pretty heavy powerheads ( Penguin 1140 300gph).

My Silver dollar fish do swim around the tank, but they mostly hang out in the top right corner, say 95% of the time. This is to the right of the powerheads and opposite teh current that is to say, i have both powerheads facing the right. Is this wrong? am I worried about nothing? They seem healthy enough.

i used to have two currents running against each other, mostly to avoid a huge surrent across the tank. try aiming the nozzle agains the side of the tank to stop its flow... then the silver dollars should be swimming around in less current.
