HOLD ON TO YOUR SEATS FOLKS, SHOCKING TFB BEHAVOIUR!!!!!!!:

I've been wondering lately when cleaning the tank, why there's been a fairly low amount of defecation from our Oscars.
Well, the mystery is solved!!

20 minutes ago, I watched Blondie take a pretty big dump as "she" swam along. Before it could hit the bottom, Flash & Mercury streaked across the tank, tore it apart and gobbled it up.
I even said it out loud- "what!? TH?? Our Tin-Foil Barbs have a taste for Oscar droppings??????"
I was completely surprised, but I thought OK it was just a fluke/case of mistaken ID- they confused it with meal-worm.

Boy was I wrong!
About 5 mins later Rajah let out a massive poop too. Again, like a pair of silver crapsuckin missiles they were on it!
I've seen them do it 5 separate times now.

Usually when an animal does that, it's for a lack of some specific element in their diet or for some psychological reason.
All these fish get a varied diet, and the 2 barbs get there fair share of food, so I doubt it's that....

ROFLMBO - I've read where other have thought barbs were crazy , but this?????????

My tinfoils did the same thing and it's probably because of the large amount of undigested food in the oscar's feces that attracts the tinfoils to it, and keeps the behaviour going like that.
