What other fish could go in the tank with an african cichlid that is aggressive. i've heard that u can only put the same breed.

As Dan said in your other post, in order to answer the question, we really need to know what type of African you have. There are so very many, from diffrent parts, unless we know, its next to impossible to answer.
If you can post a pic here that would be great, ( enter it into the contest two days left I think), or look through the gallery, and see if you can see a pic posted of it, and give us the link. Or just discribe the colour and markings, maybe we can figure it out from that.

my cichlid is orange with no markings. when i got him it didn't say a specific name like the others.
