back ground on my tank

I have a 55gal. cichlid tank and I have had it for about 2yrs. and its has been doing great:) . What I was wanting to know is if anybody could tell me what is the best way to keep the background to stick to the back of the tank without it having air bubbles and to keep it from falling off.

Try a thin layer of vasoline. Take the background off the tank and use your fingers to apply a very thin layer to the side you want to see. Remember a little goes a long way if you put to much on you'll have a mess. After applying the vasoline use a squeegy( I think I spelled that wrong) to press the background to the tank to get rid of the air bubbles. It works great I've done it several times.:D

Im thinking of trying siliconing "non"-self adhesive cork tiles on the inside of the tank,, seen a few tanks with it and it looks pretty cool.

I siliconed a few peice's of those thin magnets to the tank, and my background, (mine is on a press board) and then magnets on the background, (make sure of the north/south issue). Thats worked great on mine.

one of the best things that I have found yey as far as holding the background on without tape wrapping around to the side of the tank is 2 sided tape that comes with window insulation kits. (for winterizing windows indoors for the cold weather.) its clear, nothing wraps around the tank, and if you want to take it off, it dont leave a nasty residue
