Im new to aquariums, but as anything else i do,i jump in with both feet
I started with a 33 G,and when i went to buy a few accesories at Lfs,i fell in love with the 75 oceanic tank,so it came home with me. The 33 i bought was used and came established to make life a little easier.I used some gravel and rocks from this tank to help start the cycle along in the 75.
Well ,i wanted to do this right ,so i got ammonia ,NO2,No3 test kits, already have a digitial ph/ppm meter .
As expected ,i saw ammonia spikes ,followed by NO2 spikes, and now to 0 ammonia ,and No2 present
. All in about 16 days as well. I watched the levels daily ,and performed water changes when levels where high, sometimes 2 a day to keep NO2 levels down.
All in all ,it seemed to work
Well i did alot of readin here, and a couple other sites ,which have helped me see what need ed to be done.
So i finally registered ,and Jsu want to thank you all for the help you gave me,indirectly
I will be hangin around here and continuing to learn more about this new, wonderful hobby
Thanx again everyone
