My two black mollies have ich some kind of bad, but I have read many places that fish with ich tend to be inactive and not eat. I am sitting as I type this and watching as all the fish in my tank eat a healthy meal of flake. Also in the tank are two guppies, a guppie fry (which I will address in another thread) and a pleco whom looks simply awful. His eye is white and his tailfin is damaged, but I'm not sure how much of that was from the crab I had in my tank for a short while (he ate 10 of my guppies, so... yeah.)
Thusfar I have changed about 50% of the water and put in about a tablespoon and a half of cooking salt (I checked and there is no ammonia/ammonium...)
Now I'm very new to the aquarium world, and I was wondering what else I needed to do to treat this funk, and how long it will take until I see results. I'm super attached to my larger female mollie, aptly named Catastrophie, and don't want to lose her. Any and all help is greatly appreciated as I want all of my fish to lead healthy happy lives, and hope to add many more fish to my tank.
Here's just a little bit of aquarium information if that helps at all...
10 Gallon glass tank
No heater
Dual filters and an air stone
1 Male Black Mollie
1 Female Black Mollie
2 Guppies of unknown gender...
1 Plecostomus
1 Guppy Fry I have no idea what to do about.
Somewhere in there I believe there is a baby snail... upon tossing all my fish in my new tank the guppies and snail both had babies.......
I'm so overwhelmed! :broke:
