As far as setting up a salt water tank, I am not too sure what is involved, could anyone point me in a direction on where to start. The tank will be 15 gallons. What is my first step? thanks

I think the most important first step is to get 1-2 good beginners books and read them cover to cover at least 2 times.... then you will start to understand the concepts involved in setting up and running a saltwater tank.... there is so much information needed... it would be kind of like asking "I want to rebuild a car what is my first step?". So my suggestion is read read read, then if there is anything you dont understand or want clarifications on we can help you with more specific ideas and problems. Unfortunately I am moving soon so I cant give you the names of the books I read when I set my tank up... sorry

Yeah do lots of reading...as much as you can fit in...I think the more reading you do the more you'll want the saltwater tank.

Away from all the work they are a lot of fun.

Also a starting note you may want to start off wtih a tank bigger that 15 gallons if at all possible.

you might want to start off with a larger tank because a smaller tank is harder to take care of. If you do start with the small tank have to keep and eye on the water condition because it can go wrong very quick. You want to be shure that you get you a cleanup crew for your tank to keep it clean and you dont want to add more than 3-4 fish. :)

Please let me know how it turns out.:)
