Snails

Does anyone know how to get rid of snails in a tank?

I have snails in my breeder tank (10 gal) and they are about to overrun the tank. I must have gotten them, one time or another, from my LFS. Draining the tank is not an option because I have about 30 fry in there. Picking them out one by one is not an option either because there are too many of them. I also can't put any snail eating fish in there because I am affraid they will eat the fry. The tank is bare except for the snails and the fry so I can see all of them. I am using a sponge filter.

Worst case I guess I could just leave them in there until the fry get big enough to move. Will the snails hurt the fry?

IMO nothing to worry about. They won't eat the fry. They will eat excess food, which is probably a plus. Worst case, you'll have a lot of snails.

yeah, i agree. leave the snails in there til the fry are big enough, then just flush the tank clean and bleach its contents... simple as...

there does seem to be no way of removing the snails other then the ones youve explained as impossible

good look man
