You posted this in 911 and this is not a sick fish, just a question on growth. So I moved it. I would say depending on your water changing habits, and how much food you feed, wil greatly affect the fish's growth. Even cichlids dont' do well in bad water conditions, dirty gravel, filter not cleaned on a regular schedule, as in weekly with fry as they get fed a lot and have more waste for the filter to deal with. Maintaining your tank better wil improve your molleys chances of growing faster. Some change the water in the tank every 3 days, and vacuum the gravel. The filter being cleaned more often helps too..Your molleys wil grow, but you need to do more for their water quaility to help them along..:)

Get a calender and mark down the day of the week you clean the tank. I do and it helps me to remember which ones need a GOOD cleaning.:D

I successfully raised a brood of about 30 black mollies not too long ago. They grew faster than I thought they would.

I fed them "Fry Bites" at least 3 times a day and changed water (30%) every other day, and I vacumed the bottom every time I changed water. I monitored the water quality continually since I was feeding them so much.

They will grow faster than you think if you give them the proper conditions to do it in.

Have you given any thought to what you are going to do with them when the are grown? That was my biggest problem.
