Utilizing Cichlid Pellets to FEED Smaller Fish???

Postby daddyoscar on Tue Aug 16, 2005 10:03 pm

Does anyone have any Idea on how to Lessen the Size of Cichlid Pellets, about the Size of MEDIUM Pond Pellets.
So that I can easily Feed them to fish like Mollies, Swordfish, etc.
I've recently been given A bunch from a friend of mine and I was just Wondering. How I could break them up into Smaller Chunks, Without Pulverizing them???
I've tried SOAKING them with Limited sucess.
But if I can get them into Smaller Chunks bigger then Dust They Love Them.

Any and all IDEAS WELCOME!!!

I see no way to do so but put them in a zip lock bag and gently smash/roll them. I have to do this for my fry. yes you do get some tini grains/dust, but the molleys like those too. I use a rolling pin with a towl over the bag. Not a lot of pressure, this way you can hear and see how it is working.
