TANk LEAKAGE

:D

First cut away all the old silicon, where the leak is, make sure you cut it out untill you get to where the silicon is sealing both sections.
Second using a "olaf" type knife blade, or a razor for a glass scraper/plutty knife, clean off any left over silicon on the glass between the side and bottom peice to create a clean surface for the new silicon.

Clean the area off any oil left by your fingers on the glass in the leaky section etc, with a DRY cotton cloth.

Buy any 100% silicon, thats say's safe for aquarium use. Get this from a local hardware store, not from a LFS.

Cut the tube tip at a 45 degree angle, puncture the inner seal in the tube, apply the caulk by starting two inches before the removed portion of silicon, hold the tube so the 45 degree angle
narrow portion of the tip is behind the bead, caulk across the glass, atleast two inches onto the other side of the old silicon.

Let the silicon set up for a minuet or two, then wet your finger with siliva, or I prefer dish soap. and run your finger along the joint, firmly pressing in the caulk.

Let the joint dry for two to five days, no more leak.

I am also moving this to the appropreate section. Let me know how it works, or if you have any other questions.
