They should do well on any fine grain tropical food. Best to keep them separate if possible, as they will get eaten.

I have kept all different Kind's Of fish, Over the years. Mostly your Standard Garden Variety Tropicals. A number of Mollies and Swordfish.

And to be quite Honest I have kept my Babies in the same tank along with the Parents.
While if you want too keep them all take them out and put them in a tank of their own, Until they are big enough to be PUT back with the others.
But I've always provided quite a few hiding places for them, and Most of the time at least 75% of them Made it.

I've found that if they Grow up in the tank there is alot less in fighting, then if You take them out and then Put them back in later.
But there are different opions on this.

As far as Special Food as told earlier any fine grain Tropical Food should do.
But I always made sure to CRUSH up the Flakes a little for them and I'd have fun watching them come out of hiding long enough to GRAB a BITE and run back in before they were made by the others...

I am a little afraid when you say you have Cichlids in the Tank along with them.
Because if they are ones that get to Be of fair size they MIGHT start to pick on the more timid ones in the tank.
But if your talking Something like Angel Fish, or Groumis there Souldn't be a problem.

As for how soon will SHE have babies again, ASAP as long as there is a Male around they are about like Rabbits.

GOOD LUCK with your Fish and their Babies...

just grind the flake food between your fingers so its like sand... theyll lap it up... theyll also eat algae and scrps other fish leave... simple as.

keep an eye on the population tho... can your tank handle 40 mollies tearing it up?

i did the same with guppies and ended up loosing my temper and feeding around 150 of them to my koi in the pond... they loved them lol
