It also sounds like there could be an obstruction someplace in your system. Before I gave it up, and switched it out, I would take it all apart (like I was cleaning it) and try it again after you put it back together. Be sure to check the hoses to make sure there is no obstruction or crimping of the lines. Be sure the lines are cut as short as possible.

The XP3 is a great filter, I hope you get yours working.

problem! xp3 not pumping water

Postby rna on Mon Jun 13, 2005 1:02 am

this happens to me whenever i unscrew the top part on my inlet. i just lift that "thingy" on the top and let it sit for like 5mins. and plug it in and push it down and it should start. if your using floss check to see if there's floss inthe motor housing like indy said. if not empty out all the water and let it fill itself back up again. all this help for me when i got that grindy sound hope it helps you out also.

yeh check the hoses

When you prime it do NOT have motor running ! It sounds like you described filling tube then latch down when motor is on?????? the err err sound?

Fill tube then cap off, through switch and wait 2 to 5 minutes, then plug in.
