Tinfoil barb behavior

To anybody with tinfoil barbs, I was just curious about their behavior with each other. Sometimes I see two of them right next to each other and they'll start to wiggle back and forth against one another. Just curious if anybody knows what they're doing. Thanks

Tinfoil barb behavior

My tinfoils are babies. Two people have told me that they may be doing some kind of mating ritual. The biggest one is about 3 inches, and the smallest one is about 2 inches. I have 3. I don't see how it could be a mating ritual when they're so young!
I've had the two biggest ones for a month, and the smaller 3 weeks.

Mine do the same thing, constantly. I haven't seen any results of breeding and this has been going on since I got them (about 4 months). IMHO I think they are just playing. Mine are big enough (about 10" and 8") that they could breed if they wanted to. As far as I can find there are no recorded cases of Aquarium breeding from Tinfoil Barbs, only bred commercially.
