Well It's been a while since an update on my newest fish my pair of dempsey's. So I'll tell ya what's been going on lately.
I finally got them moved into their 55 gal. got it decorated very nice, and added their favorite pot. they've been in the tank for about a month. Last week I noticed my first batch of eggs on the side of the pot. Four days later they hatched and started to swim a little with mom and dad. I figure there is close to 60 to 70 fry that have survived. I have the old 30 gal. tank set-up and waiting to use as a grow out tank. the male has reached about 4" and the female about 3".
I do have one question for someone, When should I move my fry into the grow out tank? I want as many as I can to survive. Do I wait for them to grow fins and that sort of stuff before removing them?
Well FUZZY, that's the latest on the Dempsey's. I will post some pictures of the eggs from when they were laid until present time soon.
