Well my pleco died today with no signs at all? I looked over one minute and he was on driftwood eating and looked back a few minutes later and he was belly up. I had him since he was a little booger[1996] and final measurement was 13 1/2 inches and i got almost 10 years outta HIM. How long do they usually live?
Me and the kids got a box and burried him properly..
Hate to say it but he got to be messier than my O. But he lived a long, heathy life.

Hi gman...sorry to hear the bad news....
im not too shure how long plecs live for...think it depends on a few different factors...tank size,stress levels,..etc.etc.
