Crab

I am looking for something a little different to put in my tank when I get rid of the Catfish.

Is there a Freshwater Crab that will be compatable with my other fish?

Or does anyone have any suggestions of something else a little different?

not in that tank im afriad.

crabs are 1. very slow 2. very fragile 3. very sensative to water conditions 4. bloody evil.

chances are, if you put any kind of crustacian in that tank, if the cichlids dont tear it limb from limb it will just mince them up when their sleeping.

crabs should be kept with smaller fish who can easily nip out of the claws.

ideally they need to leave the water every so often too.

even lobsters and larger prawns would pose the same problems im afraid.

why not put in a nice shoal of silver dollars or some more tin foil barbs?

maybe a spiney eel would work, they are a cool looking fish
