Wondering if you guys could try to sex my oscars..I just took about 100 pictures w/ my digital camera, and will sort thru them and have them up on a webserver sometime tonight
point to http://jamiro.yi.org/fishes/
that's where i'll have them...hopefully by about 5 pm eastern standard time november 5th
I was reading on here that someone was having problems with major algae..grass-green color, etc... and couldnt get rid of it...
I've been having the same problem, so I just did a huge (about 80) percent water change, keeping my o's in a big bucket for about 4 days to let the water get good...
I've got 2 tiger o's...one about 6 inches, the other about 5...i had a third one, an albino, but he jumped out the small space between the lid and the tank last week ['he' was about 6" long, and the crack was only about 1.5 inches...didnt think it possible for any of them to jump out of there :-( ]
anyway, now that my water is clear and i can see [at least for now]..i noticed some white spots on my fish. The smaller one has a spot right in the middle of his head, directly above his eyes.
The larger one has a spot about in the middle of his back, i'll have pictues of all this a litter later tonight at the url i said above.
Ugh...just figured out that my whisper 250 hasn't been filtering..dunno for how long. Maybe that's why I had such a bad algae problem. Still had the under gravel going, but i dont think that would do much to deter the algae.
Gunna take apart the motor for my whisper later tonight and see what the problem is...really hope it's not ruined!
ok, enough rambling for now
Nick
