Plecostomus question

Postby tinaTea on Tue Mar 29, 2005 3:53 am

My pleco has a red tumor looking thing on the top part of his mouth. I'm new to this fish ( I adopted him and his oscar tankmate), and I'm just wondering if this is normal, or if it is harmful. He seems to be feeding alright, that is, he's pooping ALOT *l* Any info/advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

Pleco's do tend to poo lots. long stringy ones. As for the tumor, that could be caused by your poor water conditons, you mentioned in your other post. The tumor is not a good sign, hard to say what is casusing yet, first get the water issue's fixed, then the tumor.
