Hi Jay,

Well, I can help you sex them if you can take some hi-res pictures like the ones I have on my oscar pages. 1024x768 resolution and from different angles etc...but I take it they're not both breeding size, one of them is still under 7"?

Joe,
I tell ya what...I went to the other oscar site b/f this one. It was just the way I typed in the search. The other site is very helpful but I knoticed that the people who hit those sites are very easily upseted, no offence if someone reading from there and I upsetted you. The reason being and I can see where it may effect you also, people continously ask the same question over & over again. The registration is quick and easy, "it's true it's true". Instead of everyone e-mailing you individually(which I am guilty of also at first cause I didn't know but do now!)It really is helpful esp. when 20 or so people can give there info on certain fish or success they have had in breeding them or curing a disease. No 2 fish are the same. So you need to just keep telling them to hit the BBS. It take only a few minutes to get used to it and it's something to do when you need help. Oh yea...and it's FREE!! Ok keep up the good work! Later all!

Thanks Kickstart,
Good to know you don't think I'm asking too much to have them register on BBS. I really wouldn't mind letting people post WITHOUT registering but this Bulletin Board System Software does NOT allow it so as much as I might want to let anyone post without registering I can't. I really am baffled why it doesn't have that option. Another good advantage here is that I can easily post a picture to prove a point and others can post images also for everyone to see. But I'll still try my best to answer emails as well and will encourage people to then post on BBS. O yea, I'm curious if Anyone would be interested in a SCHEDULED CHAT? We can decide on a day and time and try to all get on the chat-room for some live chat. Think that may be doable in couple weeks. I could email BBS member to announce it.(I'm going through some tapes right now, deciding what to post as movies...)later,

That sounds like a great idea!! We just need to find out what times would be ok for everyone else! Don't know if ya'll have knoticed but I am kinda a night owl! Didn't knotice if the posts show the time but I usually hit around 1Am or so, but would be able to get on much earlier though. I live in the central mountain time zone so let me know...Sounds like a plan! 8D

Heheh, didn't notice before, but now I see that you just posted this at 12:05 AM :) it says at top of your post. OK then, as soon as I finish putting up some of my good stuff that I wasn't able to post yet, I will start contacting bbs members with a couple days and times they can choose for to have a chat, then I'll analyze it and see which day/time is the best for most of them. I see that "Jay" has figured out how to post pictures and posted a couple :) of his oscars
later,

Hi Kait,

Chuck(kickstart) and I were talking about setting up a meeting, a LIVE-CHAT one day when we could all spare 15minutes or so to chat-online in realtime. BBS stands for Bulletin Board System and is what you are using to post your messages but they are not "Real Time", ie you don't see what we type right when we type it etc...There is a CHAT-ROOM(actually couple) on the website, but without co-ordinating a time for us all to be there at same time, i doubt any of us would happen to join chatroom at same time. Here's the links:

I'm fighting with my computer right now b/c it won't let me install the "proper set-up" needed to run the chat room site. I think I will be able to get it ready in time so we can chat in real time...Glad to hear your lil ones are doing better there Kait..take care!

Hi Chuck,

Let me know which chatroom works or doesn't work for you. there are several diff versions you can link from at www.cichlidfish.com/index.shtml
They're all Java chat rooms so you should have Java enabled on your browser.

Hey Chuck, what Browser are you using, Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape? Also, what version is the Browser, usually you can get version info under "Help" down at "About" ....we'll get it working for you :)

Hi Kait,

Great, I'm glad it's working for you. We'll find a solution for Chuck somehow maybe using diff browser or changing security settings in browser preferences etc...
