The guy also had no idea that they could grow to about 14 inches. poor fish

Ya like I said before some of those guys do a little too much HAYHAY!!:slash: LOL!!!! Most of those guys don't know what the hell they're talking about anyway. That sucks for people that "buy their fish fish" or so to say. That's why it's sometimes better to go to the more expensive places where the people know their sh*t.

More than knowing what they are talking about, caring for the customer is more important. There's a local reef shop in town, and I was in there talking to the guy about my first salt set up. He knows I have NO experience with salt water, and when I ask him what the smallest set up that I could probably be able to take care of myself would be, he says we have a little 8 gallon nano set up that I bet you could handle. Fortunately, I knew better by this point. As hard as a 10 gallon can be to manage in freshwater, can you immagine how hard a salt 8 gallon might be?

Its not al about knowledge, man. Its about caring to get return business.

True that!LOL!!! I was thinking of setting up a salt water my self, mostly because of the kick a*s fish that you can get!! But the I looked into it and you have to add chemicals in every day...and that's too much money going down the drain for me!!!

I'm settin up a salt tank as we speak. Its a long process, and I wasn't ready for it back then. I am now though. Its going to be a 29 with a 20 gallon sump, so it'll be a bit easier to maintain than a 10.

Yeah, I'm not ready for rays. I'm gonna go with a pair of some type of clown (possibly Clark's Anenomefish) and a Dwarf Zebra Lionfish. I'm totally psyched.

i know that oscars arn't good with plants, but the plants are good for water quality. I went to the pet shop to look for floating duckweed because oscars will only eat it by accident, and they don't sell it beacuse it is illegal.WHY!?
completly off the subject of wal-mart

I've only seen a fresh water ray in a fish store colse to my house, but they're expensive though!! I was checking them out and they are $150.00 and up!! that's way above my price limite for fish!!! I had put a plant in my 20 with my koi and feeders nd within a week the plant ws stripped of al the leafs!!! Within a month the whole thing was gone!!! I know now never to put plants in any kind of Goldfish tank!!LOL!!! And this is way off topic i mean way way way off topic but does anyone know how to get pond water from pea soup green o clear water cuz i've got a 1,000 gallon pea soup pond! i was thinking of just emptying the water and filling it up again.....

Yeah, I suspect just changing all the water won't entirely fix your problem. Post to generall freshwater, and they ought to be able to help.
