What's going in the tank?
How about an internal filter, the type that sit in the tank?

But what would be really cool is to build a shelf or cabinet under the counter for a canister, then all you have is the two tubes. Maybe you can set the canister on the floor inside the counter or something like that --Originally posted by Mark Stone

I hear you, like Mark said then, if you can incorporate the canister, that will be the neatest soloution. As for stocking, firemouths are cool fish. krib's to they nice and small and colourfull. Hannah was looking at some africans that were farily small ones called dwarf auraturs. If you went with firemouths, you could put some tipical community fish in, for the most part the firemouths would just ignore them unless you got a breeding pair.

For a 40 I would think you can use one of Rena's smaller canisters -- I think I remember that the XP3 is rated for a 175 us gallon. Might save you some $$ if you go the canister route - - -:thumbsup:Originally posted by GMAN
I guess im going to have to get another XP3.
