Hello All,

New to this site...have been looking up some answers to basic questions about keeping Oscars. Thanks for all the helpful info!

I live in Washington State and am relatively new to keeping cichlids. So, I am sure you will start to see questions popping up from me.

My husband and I have been married 14 yrs and have 3 children (11, 9 & 4). 2 dogs, 1 cat, 2 tanks (55 & 75 gal). We enjoy camping, riding quads @ the beach, skiing et c...that's when I am not putting in my 50 hr week as a restaurant manager (lol)...

Thanks for this enjoyable, informative site.

:D Welcome to cichlidfish.com. If you have any questions you can't find answers for, or run across some "conflicting" answers, just post a question and we'll try andget you an answer. Notice you have two tanks, what have you got in them?

Thanks...
In the 75 gal we have 12" tiger oscar and 12" leopard pleco
In the 55 we have a 8-10" tiger oscar and a 6-8" choc pleco
had and copper oscar which had paired with the smaller tiger unfournately it died about a week ago...the fry also didn't make it. Was very fascinating as the tiger had been holding fry in it's mouth and I had no idea they had bred until I saw it "spitting" them out...
