Hi Dj,

Should be ok, your oscars should be considerably bigger than the devils though because the devils are a lot meaner. Texas cichlid is pretty mean too, you should be ok with the devils, texas and maybe even a snakehead Image

snakehead would probably kill the oscars, maybe not an obscure snakehead, but most snakeheads get over 3' long

I've seen them together, but yes I agree you'd have to keep a "small" one .....really don't know how fast those things grow....or maybe instead just get an arowana....

Oops sory guys the oscars have their own tank, i would never put them in with devils even though they are about 10 inches, the 130 will be fo the 2 devils and the texas alone and an agae eater of course

Here's my Texas, I was wondering if I could find another tank mate for him. And apparently he isn't even a true texas? Some have told me he's a Carpinte.

He's 20cm, the tank is a deeper than usual 4ft tank (250ltres). He also doesn't seem to like eating food in blocks, he waits for it to settle, then digs up the gravel to eat the bloodworms etc. Is this typical for a texas?

OH! And I also wanted to know what a snakehead looked like. And if it could be a good tank mate for my texas cichlid?

If any of you could point me to some pictures online of a snakehead that would be greatly appreciated!

hey tintin, that picture was a rio grande perch I think. They are from the same region as Texas cichlid, grow up to 12 inches.

That pic really doesn't do justice for the Texas. You have to see them up close or in real life to really appreciate them. My Texas is simular to that but not exactly, Can't really tell what it really is from the pic. Looks kinda like a texas cichlid to me though...
