Hey there.

My name is Stephen, im the Son part of FatherN'Son.

My Dads name is Terrence although he doesn't like people calling him that, i think he enjoys Terry more :)

Anyway, basic introduction about Dad, My father has been into fish keeping since the late 60's i think.
He went into a fish shop near my home and saw an odd looking fish with the title "Ocellatus Acellus", he promptly asked what it was and the fish shop owner came back with "Its an Oscar".

He promptly bought a couple and took them home getting them into his tank and from that point on he was hooked. After that he kept a number of differant fish, mainly cichlids but he has kept other types of fish including mozambiques, fighters, mollies, platys etc.

My dad uses the forums very rarely when he is really stumped with a problem and is not really an internet person.

Now about me the son.

My name is stephen, steve, or whatever you want to call me im not really bothered.

My dad used to always tell me stories about when he used to keep fish and how he was going to restart fish keeping (forgot to tell you he had a breather for a few years). I kept bugging him to get back into it and finally he caved in and got a little 2 foot tank set up.

He bought a couple of juvi oscars and he was hooked again. And in turn he got me hooked. I bought myself a little two footer and got some gourami's and left it at that to cycle the tank through.

I went away on a training weekend with the british forces and came back, had something to eat and then went upstairs to the toilet, when i glimpsed something outta the corner of my eye, two big black things inside my tank, i went closer and they were a beuatiful pair of red/tiger oscars (they were sold as leopards :P) and i nearly melted lol.

I went downstairs and hugged my mum and dad and since that day ive loved oscars too.

A couple of weeks after i bought 2, 3' tanks and kept my oscars in one and just made a community outta the other.

Unfortunately the male of the pair (i thought) died after a while so i had to replace him with another oscar, luckily i think ive got another male because the two are now doing some serious courting in my dads tank :)

Anyway lol thats enough about me and my dad, if you wanna send me an email or pm then feel free to do so, if you ever wanna see what fish im keeping then just look at my signature, that is pretty much always up to date :)

Thanks for listening and i hope to see you around :)

LOL!!:redlaugh: I thought you were saying they were in the toilet tank! I had to read it twice and blink my eyes -- :D You have been registered longer than I, so it feels odd to welcome you -- but welcome! Thanks for the intro ----

Yea, know what you mean, we have some people registering and never posting. I think some of them maybe just register so they can view the photogallery pictures.
