it upped the ph to a stable 8. A little high yes, but the oscars are fine and seem very happy. I got some black, fine substrate today for my texas tank, it's so dirty and takes forever to clean at firstr, but now that it's in the tank it just brings out the most amazing blue hues of my texas beast! So amazingly worth it I will post pictures soon!

Well I guess with a ph of 8 you should be able to maybe make an african area in there too....when you're at the point that you have a pair of oscars and you wanna breed them though, you need a lower ph....like slightly under 7....
