my aztecs just breed and laid eggs today 10\27\2004 i need info on the fry care for these fish do i need to remove the parents or what.thankyou guys for your replies. jaysfish heres a picture off the eggs.

depends on the individual fish - some rasie their own babies some don't.

Give them a chance to raise and see what happens if they do it it'll be alot less work for you.

but don't be suprised if they eat the first batch or two,thats normal for alot of cichlids.

not sure who gave you that name but just use firemouth and you'll probally get more replies aztec firemouth sounds confuseing and is probally just someones new marketing scam/name.

an aztec and a firemouth are two different fish that are nothing similar to each other

firemouth = Thorichthys meeki

aztec aka jaguar cichlid = Parachromis managuense
