I live in South FL. We have a pond outside (about 1000 gal.) It contains a red oscar, 2 female red swords,1 male red sword, 3 angels, a pleco, several cory cats, a few Chinese alge eaters, a 1 tiger barb. During the last 2 canes we lost 2 angels & 2 tiger barbs.
Yesterday, however, I found 2 little swords and 3 little barbs!
That's outside....but that pond brought back the "bug".
I used to (20 years ago) have so many tanks that I was threatened with divorce. So this time I will try to hold it down to just 1. I have been secretly purchasing and hiding the componets for a tank of discus. (do I sound like a closet junkie or what..................?) Discus are about my favorites and I know that they would not survive in my pond.
I'm sure that I have forgotten a lot about raising discus, it has been quite a while, but then again I found this great site. I'm sure I will have a lot of questions!!
Thanx!!

if it was warm enough for oscars in a pond at my house I'd have no more yard
