algea

I am a newcomer to saltwater but have been doing fesh water for a little over a year.

My biggest pieve is algea. I see so many people with elaborate marine setups but algea seems out of control.

While researching my book said algea growth is normal but how much is normal and what is the main step for controling it?

I'd say minimizing or eradicating direct sunlight.....

Yes algae thrive on light so cutting it back has to atleast help.
