sick fish, I think

Postby lmdeac on Tue Jul 06, 2004 9:59 am

It may be too early to tell anything, but I noticed that my Oscar didn't eat this morning and is just remaining on the bottom of the tank. He usually eats right away and sometimes jumps towards my hand when I feed him. I was away over the weekend, but my fish were cared for and when I returned last night Volpe (my Oscar) was his usual little energetic self. He is 4-5 months old. I also have a Bloody Parrot the same age. All water conditions are where they should be. Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be wrong??

sick fish, I think

He might be just having a lazy day like we humans do now and again, call in sick at work and such, i dont really think anything may be wrong, but do continue to watch the situation, if he continues to sit at the bottom and not eat and looks kind of worried i would suggest giving him a course of interpet number 9 for internal bacteria problems.

Thats what id suggest if he doesnt actually show any symptoms of problems like ick or hith etc, or some other kind of problem.

Hope everything goes well for you and your O.
