Figuring out tank size

Postby ctclymore on Mon Aug 02, 2004 4:18 pm

I was given a tank from my neighbor, who has no idea what size it is and neither do I.

Is there a simple way to figure out what size the tank is? IE: Taking measurements?

Thanks

Figuring out tank size

Length times width times heigth = ? divided that by 231

like 24X12X12 = 3456 divided by 231 = 14.96 - so it'd be a 15 gallon tank.

Don't worry if you don't get a whole number, just like my example most tank are actually less then what they are sold as.
