1. oscars can chage their colour as and when they feel the need.
2. oscars do come in greens, greys, blacks and whites if in not mistaken. never heard of a blue one but selective breeding has made alot of ground in the last few years apparently.
3. in your photos it shows a white oscar... similar to the one i own, and many others on the forum do. these arnt dyed, they are selectivyly bred from albino specimins. (im aware they arnt actually albinos themselves)
4. i agreed whole heartedly that dyed fish should be banned through out the world, and it is morally wrong and such (just to make it seem like i not argueing)
5. man, the oscars arnt sick, their just settling into an un cycled tank, and their acting like new Os always do apparently.
right, now to answer the actual questions.
the hoover cost me about 3 quid (british pounds) just ask at the pet shop and theyll show you something to do the job. and with the wekly sypon just take about 20 - 40 % of the water out.
also, your oscars may be dyed but as your new to fish keeping your not to know. just make sure you really treat them extra special, post some pictures and well see how they are.
keep an eye on any fin, skin and eye damage as it may become infected as the fish wont be tip top condition. feed them lots of worms, bloodworm, eats, fish... everything any anything they awant to get them nice and fat and healthy.
the dying process is really bad dudette, its like being stabbed in the arm with a pencil (same scale) but if you look after the fish in the next few months they should be fine.
if walmart is as bad as i hear, and similar to the huge pet stores in the UK they probley would buy and sell dyed fish just to make money. the worlds ****ed up im afraid, but dont worry.
im sure the fish have gone to a really loving home, with what sounds like its gonna be a huge tank for them and if looked after properly im sure theyll give you years of pleasure.
(rethink the wall tank idea, get a normal standing one, a wall mounted tank that size would tear the walls down. lol) get a 100 gal floor tank, deeper for the fish too.
hope this helps
