i got a flowerhorn that has laid eggs and i'm assuming the male fertilized them (he was doing about the same as her, dragging his "business" along the eggs. i read some of the other threads about fertilized eggs and i only got a few (five or six) white ones, i assume that those are the dead ones. plus, the female is still fanning the cluster. i took the male out after the fertilization ( i think?) i was just wanting to know if anybody has any helpful info for me cause this would be the first in breeding for me. it was unintentional, but i want to see the little guys live.

sorry i dont know about the flower horn eggs and i dont know anything about them i was wondering if you could senhd me a pic of them whilst they are small as for i have a small one but because at the lfs they dont know sertinley what it is but the are pretty sure because they special orded it for me

why do you want the litle gus to live, youll be over run with angry little flower horns. make sure youve got somewhere to house the fish when they out grow the parents... and then theyll start to spawn again, more fry.

if you want to keep them let the mother care for the fry as long as feels right (or till some dissapear) then seperate them off to grow them on when they bocoe free feeding on flakes and such.

dont scare the female, or go in the tank or do anything thatll cause her to eat the fry...

Well, unfortunatly the female ate the eggs after a few days of fanning them. Maybe they were'nt going to hatch? But I was looking foward to having an Army of brutal fish. I even went out and picked up another 120,75and two 55 gallon tanks to house them. Maybe next time.
