American Nick Berg decapitation video

Has anyone seen the Nick Berg decapitation video? (I have...) If I know you're an adult I can provide it. Don't really know if I should post a link to it here where minors could get to it. It is 1.15 megs only but requires very fast computer or good graphics card to see it smoothly and audio synced...not for those who faint easily...

my sentiments exactly..

Was Nick Berg retaliation or standard Islamic Terrorist procedure?
(The guy with the knife sure looked like had lots of practice!)

I pretty much agree with that first link.

Seems like no matter what happens the media - replays and whines about anything bad the american armed forces do - even when they only report half of a story.

But when they do something good - you don't hear anything about it.

and when someone does something to an american - lucky if it's in the news more then a few minutes.

how many times in a week do they have to say we humiliated prisoners at Abu Ghraib ? (and no I'm not condoning it.)

but I have yet to see or hear on the news - the 6-15 yr old kinds that blew themselves up trying to kill the american special forces near Baghdad - after they were feed by U.S. troops.

If we're so terriable now -
I say we be fair and give them a choice
1- knock of the B.S. and cooperate
2 - If they really hate the u.s. so much, let Sadam out of jail and we all go home! My grandkids will probally be paying taxes to pay off this war debt already why waste more money

 bet if we picked #2 ,the rest of the world would say we're horriable - oh -yeah but we're horriable for getting rid of him to

On a side note - rember when the President said any terrorists would be denied geneva convention rights? and everyone cheered! Boy that turned around fast :(

I bet if something was bombed here again,or a famous reporter died again - general oponion of the war would shift again - kinda funny how fast some people forget things and the small box some people seem to live in.

Guess this is a touchy subject and everyones entitled to their oponion, thats just mine.

they say learn from history  rember desert storm
we were bad for starting
then we were great for doing it
then we were bad for not finishing it

now
we're just looked down on
I say next time someone in the world cries for help (military, money, food, anything) if they're not our allie now - Ignore them next time they whine

Like it or not I still think there's another country in that region that shoulda got - nevermind I'll quit for now

Couldn't agree more with you Stillearnin, Terrorists don't need Al Jazeera TV to feed their hatred, they can get everything they need right off our own news channels! In the video of the cutting off(using big knife as a Saw) of Berg's head while he was screaming the murderers "claim"(US denies being contacted) they offered his life in return for some detainees at Abu-prison. Now the US news media seems to be portraying all the "detainees" at Abu as purely innocent civilians, NOT prisoners of WAR, or human rights violators, or war criminals. (Then why would these Al-Qaeda terrorists want to trade for them?)

Also, after 9/11 most of us agreed that we shouldn't have to abide by those BS Geneva Conventions where it is ILLEGAL to treat prisoners with anything but RESPECT!!(You also MUST provide them with cigarettes and daily allowance for meals and regular necessities, daily exercise and fresh outside time. They are NOT required to give ANY info other than their RANK and number. ABSOLUTELY NO coersion can be used to gain other info, no physical punishment, no sleep deprivation, no humiliation(God forbid we hurt their pride and self-esteem!), no mental/psychological stresses. Heck it's BETTER than going to JAIL in the US!!)

Do I condone what I've seen of abuse at Abu-prison? NO. Why? Because I'm not sure those abused were guilty of murder, or terrorism, if I knew that indeed they were, "maybe" I would be ok with some sleep deprivation, hunger, even beatings for some of the worst etc to get them talk but not making them do sexual acts etc...ie things against one's beliefs in God etc...we should honor those principles. For those guilty of assasination or indiscriminate terrorism, talk or face the firing squad. As it stands it seems the soldiers guilty of these crimes were humiliating the prisoners for their own "laughs" and entertainment, even WORSE in my opinion than doing it to extract information! They should be prosecuted and some depending on their involvement should get jail time!

By the way FAKE photos are causing problems too, not saying all are fake but some of the worst are fakes:

I will not watch the video.

You cannot unwatch it and I'd rather not have to deal with the memories.

Yes, I agree, everyone should "think" before deciding to watch it. You really can't "unhear" or "unsee" something, especially something shocking. On the other hand, I'd like to make some of those terrorist "sympathizers" watch it. (ie the ones that say the US is to blame for terrorists, they say they're(terrorists) not so bad it's just that they don't like US policy!)

I watched it along with all my coworkers, and it really lets you know the type of people that we are dealing with. I can tell already after reading these posts that I'm going to like it here.

I have buddies that are over there right now, might be going myself, but not as of right now. But I honestly don't know if democracy will work with these people....sad but true

yea, it really gets me mad when the media treat these 'terrorists' as legitimate "politicians"!! Hopefully as we remember the great former President Ronald Reagan people will remember to honor those serving this country, Reagan had brought patriotism back to us!
