If you have eggs the ferilised colour is beige and sterile eggs are white.
They normally like to lay eggs on a slate of rock.
Oscars do make good parents but young breeding pairs will often eat the eggs or fry. So its usually best to move the eggs to a grow out tank.Placing a airstone over the eggs will help stop fungus.
